Cerne Abbas in Dorset is famous for the The Cerne Abbas Giant, a scheduled monument now owned by The National Trust.
This is a handheld panoramic photo taken from the viewing point on the main road. Thunder thunder storm was rolling through the hills on the left hand side! The Giant is visible on the right, if you walk to the top of the hill, you loose the view of the Giant.

With in the Village itself there is plenty to explore.
Left: The Pitchmarket, Grade 1 listed, right: The Royal Oak, built in 1540.

The stocks:

Just lovely to walk past:

Fascinating grave stones:

Cerne Abbey entrance sign. I won't spoil the surprise and show the Abbey itself.

I found this shopfront really interesting - is it closed for good? What is sold there?
