A selection of photographs taken at the Beach Volleyball Tournament, The Weymouth Royal Air Force Careers Beach Volleyball Classic August 2014 (season 34), ladies' semi finals.
There was plenty of time to watch the action and try and capture the 'decisive moment'. My favourite photographs from the semi-final action are below:
The serves:

Right hand photo: Even at 1/800th of a second shutter speed there is still some movement in the arm and ball.
In play:

Setting up:

One of my favourites - look at the player in mid-air on the right hand side:

Two square crops for something slightly different:

Even at 1/1000th second there is still some movement in the ball illustrating the speed of the action.
Players in mid air:

There are thirty two photographs of the semi-final action in my flickr photostream:

They are worth a view! Since posting these on flickr some have received quite a number of views.
A great sporting event to watch, a great opportunity to photograph action and movement!
