December 2011: Morning mist
In: Landscapes
Mist is one of those illusive elements that rarely appears when you want it to. We've had three or four very misty mornings recently. You also don't have to go far. These photographs were from a walk to the fields on the outskirts of town during a misty morning.
The first photo is from the walk along the river path. The lines of the path and the fence head towards the tree, I like the way the telegraph pole wires disappear into the mist.
I've been to this location before. The trees below were photographed in the snow a few months back, so it's a completely different picture in black and white with mist as opposed to snow.
This is my favourite of the three. Composed on an approximate third, the lines of the fence guide you towards the tree in the mist, which is the focal point.

All photographs taken handheld with the sigma 10-20mm lens at approximately 10mm.
