Ditch the SLR!
The trouble with an SLR is that you end up carrying a large camera around, possibly with an extra lens. For planned trips you take a tripod and a bag of filters. Then you shoot in RAW and need to process the images.
Take it back to basics! Put down the SLR down, dig out your old camera and take three photographs a day for seven days. Have some fun finding different things and trying different compositions. Have fun selecting three photographs a day and giving them a title! Anything goes! I used my Canon Powershot and tried the various settings the camera has.
Every photograph taken is a jpeg straight off camera, no processing involved.
