Drummer by night...
In: Architecture
Since the arrival of the Dray Horse sculpture in the local development, I've been wanting to go and photograph it. The best time seemed to be just after sunset when it is lit up.
I arrived just before sunset and took a few test photos to try and find a composition I was happy with, this included an interesting background.
Example test photo just as the lights were coming on.

I settled on this composition with the Dray Horse, an interesting building shape and the lights with a starburst effect. I decided to keep the bollard in the foreground, bottom left.

For this photo I managed to get a bit closer to exclude the foreground bollard:

Photo showing the Dray Horse looking out to the road with car light trails created by the long exposure.

All photos taken with sigma lens at 10mm, f16, around 25-30 second exposure.
My favourite photograph is here.. I'll return for another attempt as I've got another idea in mind.
