Fallstreak Holes

Always carry a camera. Today I almost left mine at home. I walked along Weymouth Seafront and had to stop to look at unusual cloud formations. They turned out to be Fallstreak holes (otherwise known as hole punch clouds). They are rare and unusual and appeared at various locations along the south coast. For about 20 minutes I stood and watched. I was also joined by someone else who was taken by the clouds. We put the world to rights and noted many people walking by without looking at the sky. Most being preoccupied with looking into their mobile devices.
