February 2012: Three trees, one sunset
In: Landscapes
I've been to this location before, but was passing by around sunset time in late January. This was a useful exercise in watching the light change at sunset, in particular watching the changing colour in the sky up to half an hour after the sunset time, which was 4.40.
I decided to silhouette the three trees by underexposing by one stop.
4.45pm. The sun had just set on the horizon, there are some burnt out highlights just behind the tree.

5.05pm:

5.15pm. Half an hour after sunset a band of pink cloud appeared, although only for a couple of minutes.
Often the colour in the sky will change in the opposite direction to the sun, I did look around, but there was very little colour change. Which one of the three images you prefer is down to personal choice.
