January 2012: Jurassic Triptych
More often than not images are viewed at their ratio taken off camera (3:2 or 4:3). For a different look, I have cropped three photographs into squares and created black and white triptych panels using photoshop. A triptych is a panel which is usually divided into three.
Panel 1:
Left: West Bay, long exposure using hitech ten stop filter.
Middle: Durdle Door and Bats Head, taken with sigma lens @ 10mm
Right: The Cobb, again, sigma lens @ 10mm.

I'm not convinced this panel "hangs" together to make a "three" as the image on the right needs to have the focal point to the right hand side, the right hand image is possibly too dominant and the horizon line is too high in comparison to the other two images. You may have a different view.
Panel 2:
Left: West Bay, long exposure using ten stop filter.
Middle: Durdle Door and Bats Head, taken with sigma lens @ 10mm
Right: Portland Bill, fast shutter speed, black and white conversion, selective colouring.

I think this panel hangs together as a three better than the first panel, as the focal point on the right hand image is to the right.
What do you think, do the three images in each panel hang together?
