January 2013: Snow...

The weatherman was right, the snow came bang on time. It was time to explore on foot, so I headed towards the fields on the outskirts of town.
In alot of cases the sky was the same colour as the ground, so there is no real variation in exposure. This is one of my favourites, taken one-stop over exposed. A minimalist tree:

The Roman Town House always looks good in the snow:

This refurbished bridge is set on its original Victorian brick pillars.

I was a bit disappointed by lack of detail in the shadows (the wall of the bridge, so I created three images from a single RAW file and processed it, HDR painterly to see how much detail could be shown. This is a bit of work in progress:
