Poppies!

Now you would think poppies appear every year in the same location! This isn't the case, they are illusive little creatures.
This is a fabulous location in Dorset. Local dog walkers tell me that the poppies haven't been in this location for about 8 years.
It has taken FOUR visits to this location to get any photographs worth posting. Trip one was really an explore around but it was too hazy. On trip two there wasn't a cloud in the sky. Trip three had potential, but it was too hazy out to sea.
Finally...trip four...in the morning it was grey sky and drizzle, but I saw the clouds turn into something lovely later on in the day.
Here are a few photographs taken watching the clouds and the evening light:
Luckily this location is only a couple of miles off a road I drive regularly. The walk up the hill is lovely - who said landscape photography was easy - research, technical ability, patience and a bit of luck with the weather are all needed!
Most of them have gone now, they don't hang around either!
