Just look at the colourful clouds during sunset at West Bay:
Such great clouds didn't seem possible when I was at Abbotsbury! As it was such a nice afternoon, I thought I'd take a drive through Abbotsbury then on to West Bay. The sky was lovely when I left home. As I came out of Abbotsbury, it quickly became apparent that the view over Abbotsbury to Portland was a complete non starter:
(you can only just see Portland on the horizon line).
As I made my way back down the hill, there were a couple of fungi:
Good job my tripod legs and stem come out to get right down with the little fungi!
(note the obligatory take away drink!)
It was on to West Bay with an hour to go before sunset. The sun was giving the cliff face a lovely glow. I was watching the clouds above, would they change colour at sunset?
And there it was, for a good 20 minutes after sunset the clouds above turned a lovely colour. I particularly wanted to moon to feature top right:
