January 2014: water water everywhere

It has rained and rained over the last couple of weeks. There were two severe weather warnings at nearby coastal locations. It is good to follow the warnings and keep away.

Locally it didn't seem as bad as the summer of 2012 when all roads out of town were shut: http://www.kjwphotography.co.uk/news61848.html

A trip out on the mountain bike did see local B roads closed and water saturating fields:

When it was windy it was certainly windy! Only the kite surfers were on the beach:

Taken from the promenade, 55-250mm lens. It was so windy I'm amazed there is any sharpness!

However, a late afternoon walk across some fields provide opportunity for finding reflections in the water:


(I spotted a reflection of the moon!)

At a height of about 4 foot, I could see the reflection of the moon in the water:


Reflections of trees and the coloured sky as the sun set:
